Meet Zia!
This sweet girl was saved literally MINUTES before being euthanized at a high-kill shelter. She was picked up as an injured stray.
She had an old femur fracture that more than likely was caused by a car. She had kennel confinement for several weeks to allow it to continue to heal and she is now fully cleared from our ortho vet and ready for a forever home!
She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for heartworms, and is on heartworm & flea prevention.
She does well with other dogs but prefers male dogs. She is not an alpha female, but when placed with one, it does not work.
She is great with children and she loves to play with the kids in her foster home.
She has that classic "Pete the dog" from the Little Rascals patch around her eye and is absolutely adorable!
She has NOT been cat-tested.
She is crate trained, not much of a "fetcher," though she will run after the ball, but more often than not will continue to run past it, lol.
She has a great temperament and is the perfect medium size and weight for anyone looking for a canine companion.
