Meet Josh the Beagle!
Josh came to us when his owner surrendered him to a clinic after he was hit by a car. Josh suffered a fracture that required surgery, which was done. After many weeks of crate rest and recovery, he was healed. He then completed treatment for heartworms and is now healthy, happy, and ready to find his forever family!
Although he may be timid at first, with some patience and love, he will prove to be the sweetest young Beagle you've ever met. Josh LOVES other dogs and absolutely needs another established dog in his new home to help him come out of his shell. He gets along great with the dogs in his foster home and they have shown him how much fun it is to be a playful pup! And once he opens up, he is a very playful, silly, affectionate dog!
It would be best if Josh's new family had some experience with the Beagle breed, as he can be a bit shy and needs someone to give him the time and attention he needs. Josh is a sweet and gentle dog who wants to find a forever home where he can feel safe and loved.
Josh is about two years old, has been neutered, fully vaccinated, and is microchipped. He is current on heartworm & flea/tick prevention.
He weighs around 25 pounds, is crate-trained, and has done fine around children and cats.
He absolutely needs a securely fenced yard to run and play in.
