Meet Crosby!
This sweet and gentle boy survived a horrific puppy mill. He looks to be a poodle, possibly Bichon mix. He is est. to be about 2 years old, weighs just 12 pounds, has been fully vaccinated, tested negative for heartworms and is neutered. He is microchipped and current on heartworm & flea prevention. He absolutely needs another dog that is already established in the home, because as with all mill survivors another dog is their security, guidance and comfort zone.
Crosby is the best lap baby once he warms up to you and you will adore him just as his foster parents do. He has come such a long way in his mill recovery. He does need a very securely fenced yard, and he is learning to leash walk. Mill dogs adjust to things that are new to them that " regular" dogs are used to, such as the feel of grass instead of box wire, eating out of a bowl versus the ground, sleeping on a bed and not dirt.
We suggest a home without small children as their quick sudden actions scare him. Older children would be fine. He seems to have no interest in cats.
Mill babies are some of the most loving dogs, and all it takes is a person with patience, lots of love and understanding to find that out.
Maybe that is you!
