I'm not quite ready to go to my new home.

Hi! My Name Is Margie

I'm in the Recovery Room - I'll Be Available Soon

Meet Margie the Bulldog!

Sweet Margie’s life started out rough. She was confiscated by a local shelter during an animal cruelty case—essentially a backyard breeding situation where multiple moms and litters were kept only to make money. Margie was just another “money maker” in their eyes.

At only about a year old, she’s already been through so much. When she was rescued, she weighed just 28 pounds and was struggling with severe skin and eye infections, still full of milk from her last litter, and she tested positive for heartworms. Thankfully, her pups were placed safely in foster homes, and Margie came into our care so she could finally begin her own healing journey.

Step by step, Margie is blossoming :

Her milk has dried up

Her eyes have cleared

Her skin is healing beautifully

She’s been vaccinated, microchipped, and started on heartworm and flea prevention.

Next up is her spay surgery, followed by heartworm treatment. Once she’s fully recovered, Margie will be ready to find her forever home.

Because she’s an English Bulldog, it’s essential that her adopter has experience with her breed (or a similar one, such as a French Bulldog). Whether that means currently owning or having previously owned one, we owe it to Margie to ensure her ongoing care is in knowledgeable, capable hands. Bulldogs often come to us in poor condition due to neglect or lack of breed understanding, and we want Margie’s future to be nothing but bright.

Margie is currently in Memphis and will soon be ready to meet her perfect match.
