Meet Taylor!
Taylor is a King Charles Cavalier who recently joined our rescue as a breeder release. He is approximately 3 years old, weighs just 13.8 pounds, and is a very sweet boy who is just beginning his journey into companion life.
Taylor is fully vaccinated, has tested negative for heartworms, has been wormed, is microchipped, and is currently on heartworm and flea prevention. He will be neutered soon.
At this time, Taylor is not yet ready for adoption. He needs time to decompress in his foster home and adjust to life as a loved family member rather than a puppy maker. During this time, he will also be evaluated to determine the best possible home fit for his needs.
Once Taylor has completed this process, he will be moved to our list of AVAILABLE dogs. We kindly ask that potential adopters wait until that time to submit an application so we can ensure the best match for both Taylor and his future family.
Based on this dog’s past experiences, we are looking for a home that already has another dog. Dogs coming from a breeder-release situation often do much better with a canine friend, as this is what feels most familiar and comforting to them. Having another dog in the home helps them feel safe and confident, and gives them a wonderful role model for learning how to be a dog and a companion—something very different from their life as a breeder dog.
Thank you for your patience and for supporting rescue dogs like Taylor!
