Meet Nyx!
This sweet little pup was found on a construction site with a broken femur. Luckily for her, some very kind humans stepped in. They kept her safe, gave her food and water, and made sure she was seen by a veterinarian.
We were contacted and asked if we could help, and thanks to an experienced medical foster home being open, we were able to say YES!
Nyx is just a baby, born around July 23rd of this year. As of September 23rd, she weighed only 10.5 pounds. But don’t let her tiny size, or that broken leg, fool you. This girl is ALL happiness!
Despite everything she has been through, Nyx’s tail never seems to stop wagging. She is one of those puppies who simply loves life, loves people, and has absolutely no idea that she has an injury. She is sweet, happy, affectionate, and determined to enjoy every single day.
Nyx underwent surgery on September 28th to repair her broken femur, and she is now recovering in her foster home. For now, her job is to rest, heal, and let that little leg get stronger.
Once she is fully healed and medically cleared, Nyx will be ready for the next chapter of her journey, the best one yet: finding a family to call her very own!
