Meet Steve!
Steve is a 4-year-old French Bulldog who has officially graduated from our Big Boy Potato Weight-Loss Program—and this formerly extra-fluffy baked potato has lost a whopping 10 pounds!
Is Steve proud of himself? Maybe.
Is Steve still bitter that we stopped allowing him to eat everything he wanted, whenever he wanted it? Absolutely.
According to Steve, portion control was unnecessary, snacks are a basic constitutional right, and whoever invented the word “diet” should probably be investigated.
But despite his formal complaints to management, losing those extra pounds has been GREAT for him! Steve is now a much healthier 33 pounds, he runs around and plays, and best of all, he breathes SO much better. Apparently being shaped like an overstuffed ottoman was not ideal for his bully best life.
Steve is fully vetted, heartworm negative, and he’s even good with the dogs and cats in his foster home. Whether the cats are impressed with him is another story. Steve assumes they are.
As with all of our French Bulldogs, Steve’s adopter must have current or previous French Bulldog experience. If you’ve been owned by a Frenchie before—and yes, OWNED is the correct word—you already understand the attitude, the noises, the stubbornness, the judgmental looks, and the firm belief that every piece of food in the house legally belongs to them. Previous ownership of a French, or English bulldog is a requirement folks!
If your life is currently lacking a 33-pound bossy potato with ears, Steve would be happy to fill that position.
He’s hanging out in a Memphis-area foster home, waiting for someone who understands that adopting Steve doesn’t mean you’re getting a dog.
Steve is getting a staff.
