Meet Ace!
This handsome, happy-go-lucky pup is full of personality and heart. He’s playful, affectionate, and always up for an adventure! Whether he’s racing around the yard, hanging out at doggie day camp, or snoozing in his crate, Ace brings joy wherever he goes.
Ace was born on May 19, 2023. Unfortunately, he was born with a deformed paw. After surgery failed to improve his mobility, the decision was made to amputate the leg, and it was the best thing for him. Since then, he’s been moving with ease and confidence. These days, he regularly outruns the other dogs in his foster home and never misses a beat!
Ace weighs about 59 pounds and is a Shepherd lover’s dream: 41.6% German Shepherd, 32.7% Dutch Shepherd, and 25.7% Belgian Malinois. That means brains, loyalty, and energy in all the best ways!
Ace is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.
He’s crate trained and leash trained and rides well in the car. He’s also great with the young kids in his foster home and would love a home with kids to call his own.
He would thrive in an active home as the only dog or with a companion his size or larger. He’s not a fit for homes with small dogs or cats.
A fenced yard is a must for this active boy. Apartment living isn’t the right fit, and homes with lots of stairs or an unfenced pool aren’t ideal either, given his tripod status.
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who's always down for the next adventure, Ace might just be your perfect match!
Ace is currently hanging out in one of our Memphis-area foster homes and is accepting applications for his forever family.
