Meet Brynja (pronounced BRIN-ya) – the Newfoundland Sweetheart!
This big-headed beauty has a heart of gold to match. At about 3 years old and weighing just over 90 pounds, Brynja is truly a gentle giant.
She was rescued from a neglect case and thankfully we had the room to take her in.
She is: fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, Current on heartworm and flea prevention.
Brynja is a total Velcro dog who adores being close to her people. True to her breed, she’s gentle, patient, and especially wonderful with children. If you live near water, even better—Newfoundlands are natural swimmers!
She loves:
Car rides (she’s the perfect backseat passenger!)

Newfoundlands are known as one of the gentlest breeds you can own. They’re typically quiet dogs—not excessive barkers—though they’ll speak up to alert their families. Protective but not aggressive, they rely on their size and presence to deter threats and will often put themselves between their loved ones and a stranger.
Because of their thick double coat, Newfies do require regular grooming. When Brynja came to us, she was severely matted and had to be shaved in multiple areas. But don’t worry—her gorgeous coat will grow back beautifully with proper care.
Brynja is currently in a foster home in the Memphis area and is ready to find a forever family who will cherish her as much as she deserves.
