Meet Elaine!
Elaine and her brother, Cosmo, are quite the interesting little duo. Their mom was a Corgi (and Elaine looks exactly like her), while dad was a Mini Dachshund, clearly where Cosmo gets his looks!
They were born November 22, 2025, so they are still very young pups.
As with all of our young puppies, we require at least one adult dog in the home. Adult dogs play a crucial role in teaching puppies how to:
Play appropriately (not too rough)
Respect personal space
Understand canine body language through gentle corrections like growls or yelps
This helps puppies learn essential “dog language,” preventing future misunderstandings or conflicts with other dogs. Adult dogs are also a huge help with potty training—pups naturally follow their lead, making training and settling into routines much easier (a big win for everyone!).
Due to Elaine’s small size and how easily she could be injured, a home with children 10 years and older would be best.
A very securely fenced yard is a must and no inground pools. Elaine loves to run and play, but it’s important she can do so safely and always under human supervision.
Elaine is:
Current on vaccines
Wormed
Available for foster-to-adopt in an approved home in the Memphis area
Once she is spayed, she may be adopted out of area.
Elaine is currently in Memphis
If you’re looking for a sweet, playful pup with a big personality in a tiny package, Elaine might just be your girl!
