Meet ember!
Sweet Ember was born outside and knew only life outdoors until we were alerted to her situation. Since coming into rescue, she has truly blossomed and is now thriving in her foster home—loving life as a cherished family companion.
Ember appears to be a Red Heeler / Cattle Dog mix and is still very young, born around June 15, 2025. She is:
Current on vaccines
Heartworm tested negative
Microchipped
Wormed
Started on heartworm and flea prevention
Ember does wonderfully with other dogs and thrives in their company. In her foster home, she’s exposed to dogs of all sizes and has done great with everyone so far. She’s playful, energetic, and loves tug-of-war with her dog friends. Fetch is another favorite, she’ll happily chase a ball for hours!
She has also been around small children and does very well with them. However, Ember will chase cats (and chickens), so a cat-free home is best.
This little girl has some serious hops—she can easily clear a 4-foot gate—so a home with a secure 6-foot privacy fence is essential. We’re convinced she may be part kangaroo!
Ember needs a home with another established adult dog to help guide her as she grows and to help burn off that classic heeler energy. She also loves to be held, sleeps quietly in her kennel, and is truly a sweet, gentle pup at heart. A fenced yard is a must for her.
