Meet Geordie the Corgi!
This handsome guy was found as a stray with no collar and no microchip. After almost two weeks in the shelter with no one coming forward to claim him, Geordie is now safe and sound with us and ready for his next chapter!
Geordie has been fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. Sadly, he did test positive for heartworm, but the good news is that he is very young, just under 2 years old—and will be starting treatment soon. Once treatment begins, he will need strict leash walks only for about 6–8 weeks. Because of this, Geordie will be available for adoption around mid- March 2026.
He is currently thriving in a Memphis-area foster home with other dogs and is doing great! Geordie is kennel trained, walks well on a leash, and has a fun, clownish personality that keeps everyone smiling.
Geordie would do well as an only dog but also enjoys the company of other dogs. Cats are a big maybe,he seems a little too interested in them, so a cat-free home may be best.
And yes,we are now accepting applications for this adorable, happy-go-lucky boy!
If you’re looking for a young, handsome corgi with a big personality and lots of love to give, Geordie just might be your guy.
