Meet Geordie the Corgi!
This handsome guy was found as a stray with no collar and no microchip. After nearly two weeks in the shelter with no one coming forward to claim him, Geordie is now safe and sound with us and ready for his next chapter!
Geordie has been fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. He did test positive for heartworm, but the good news is he’s very young and completed his treatment like a champ! He just needs to gradually increase his activity level until at least mid-March, but otherwise, you’d never know he went through treatment.
He’s currently thriving in a Memphis-area foster home with other dogs and is doing great. Geordie is kennel trained, walks well on a leash, and has a fun, clownish personality that keeps everyone smiling. He’s not a fan of being reached for and picked up from above—but get down to his level and he’ll happily leap right into your lap!
Geordie would do well as an only dog, but he also enjoys the company of other dogs, he’s versatile that way. He has cat friends in his foster home and truly couldn’t care less about them.
At 26 pounds, Geordie is a handsome, happy guy with a big personality and so much love to give.
