Meet Jaydon!
On the way home from a Thanksgiving dinner, a kind woman noticed a tiny puppy lying on the side of the road. He was hurt, terrified, and unable to move. She stopped, scooped him up, and rushed him to the emergency vet, hoping someone could help him. X-rays confirmed everyone’s worst fear—both of his back legs were broken.
Despite the severity of his injuries, there was hope. With surgery and care, he could heal—but only if someone stepped up for him.
When the vet called and asked if we could help, there was no question. We couldn’t turn our backs on a 4-month-old puppy who had already endured so much pain. As soon as a foster opened their home, we committed to giving him the chance he deserved.
Now about 5 months old, this sweet boy has already been through more than most dogs ever should. His surgery cost around $7,500, and while we are still working hard to raise the funds to cover his medical bills, waiting was not an option. Time was critical, so he was rushed to Bluff City Veterinary Specialists, where he received the lifesaving surgery he needed.
Today, he is safe in a foster home, resting, healing, and finally knowing what it feels like to be loved. He still has some recovery ahead, but the worst is behind him. From here on out, it’s all about healing, hope, and a future filled with kindness.
Once he is fully healed and vetted, this incredibly resilient boy will be ready to find his forever home. He is in Memphis—and his best days are still ahead
