Meet Roxanne!
Roxanne is a Cavapoo — a cross between a Cavalier Spaniel and a Poodle — who recently joined our rescue as a breeder release. She is about 2 years old, weighs just 10 pounds, and is a very sweet girl beginning her journey into companion life.
Roxanne is vaccinated, microchipped, has tested negative for heartworms, spayed and is currently on heartworm and flea prevention.
Based on this dog’s past experiences as a breeder dog , we are looking for a home that already has another dog ( male would be best) . Dogs coming from a breeder-release situation often do much better with a canine friend, as this is what feels most familiar and comforting to them. Having another dog in the home helps them feel safe and confident, and gives them a wonderful role model for learning how to be a dog and a companion—something very different from their life as a breeder dog.
Please Note:
Because these are breeder dogs, they will be placed in homes with a dog of the opposite sex. In many cases, females may not accept another female, and males may not accept another male.
To help avoid compatibility issues and reduce the chance of placement failure, adopters must have a dog of the opposite sex in the home. This greatly increases the likelihood of a successful and harmonious transition.
Thank you for your patience and for supporting rescue dogs like Roxanne! She is in memphis.
