This is Stanley.
He was surrendered to a vet clinic due to needing surgery. Stanley was very ill, and after X-rays and an ultrasound, it was determined he had an intestinal blockage. Emergency surgery was done, and it turns out Stanley had eaten a corn cob! It broke into a few pieces, each lodging in different parts of his intestines. He is a very lucky boy, and thankfully, no serious damage was done.
Stanley is about 10 months old, a Golden Doodle mix, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He tested negative for heartworms and is set to be neutered soon. He is also current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.
Once he has been medically cleared, he will be available for adoption. Applications are currently being accepted in the hopes that we have a home waiting for him as soon as he is medically cleared.
He does need a home with a fenced yard, preferably a doggie playmate, and due to his breed, an active family who is familiar with the steady, required care of a doodle or poodle coat.
Stanley is in Memphis.
