Meet Tansy!
This sweet little Dachshund girl was surrendered to an emergency clinic when she was very ill. She tested positive for parvovirus, and at just 6 months old, she had only received one set of vaccines from the breeder, according to her previous owner.
Thankfully, the veterinary team jumped into action and started treatment right away. Tansy was incredibly lucky—many small, unprotected puppies like her usually don’t survive parvo.
Tansy is now healing beautifully in her foster home and is a happy, playful little girl who has been given a second chance. Once she is safely past her virus-shedding period, she’ll be able to catch up on her much-needed vaccinations and be spayed. She has been microchipped.
She’s a very lucky little girl, and we’re so grateful she made it through.
