Meet Tootsie!
Tootsie is an absolute sweetheart with a gentle, loving nature. She was found wandering a gas station, and when someone claimed they no longer wanted her, we didn’t hesitate to bring her to safety. It turned out she had an old pelvic fracture and a belly full of chicken bones. Fortunately, the bones passed safely and she received FHO surgery for her pelvis.
After safe care, surgery, and lots of love from her foster, this brave girl is fully healed and ready for her forever home!
Tootsie is spayed, tested negative for heartworms, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and on heartworm and flea prevention.
She is wonderful with other dogs, great with cats, and loves children. She’s a medium-sized girl at about 25 pounds and is young — roughly 3 years old.
Tootsie is fully housebroken, walks beautifully on a leash, and rides like a champ in the car. While she enjoys the company of other dogs, she would also be perfectly content as an only dog, as long as she isn’t left alone for long hours (nobody likes that!).
She enjoys exploring so apartment life is not the best fit for her. Tootsie thrives with room to explore, so a home with a fenced yard is a must. Apartment living won’t be the right fit for her.
She enjoys canine friends but would also do well as an only dog, as long as she isn’t left alone for long hours. She bonds deeply with her people and enjoys being part of the family’s daily routine.
