Meet Winston!
This sweet guy sadly lost his owner when they passed away, and now he is looking for a family who will love him just as he was loved. He really is a sweet boy! He is young, estimated to be about 6 years old. He is neutered, microchipped, tested negative for heartworms, fully vaccinated and on heartworm and flea prevention.
He absolutely loves and needs to play with a dog in his forever home, OR he needs a family that will keep him active via daily walks, playtime and maybe doggie daycare. He is overweight right now due to lack of activity ( yes he is on a diet) and now that he is running and playing in is foster home he will shed those extra love pounds. They need regular, but not constant, exercise and stimulation to live a happy life.
Added to the exercise and stimulation requirements , pet parents need to prioritize grooming their Scottish Terrier. They’re not overly high-maintenance dogs but this breed needs to be bathed and clipped every two or three months.
Scotties are incredibly curious and, thanks to their terrier genes are natural-born hunters with a strong prey drive. Because of this, they must be on a leash or inside a fenced yard whenever they’re outside. If they are left unsupervised in a yard, make sure the fence can’t be jumped, scaled, or dug under; they can be diggers. Again: all the makings of a terrier.
If you think Winston may be the furry friend for you please submit the adoption application. He is in Memphis.
